DESCRIPTION
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL PHOTOS This engine was overhauled to meet FAA requirements for certified aircraft but was modified by replacing the sump/intake manifold with a front induction type unit and replacement of the prop governor with one suitable for a single engine application. The engine could be converted back to a Seneca engine by replacing those two components. If you intend to install it in a Seneca let me know and I will offer it to you at a discount with those two items removed. The engine was installed and test run on an experimental aircraft that was subsequently sold-less the engine (the customer had another engine to use). This engine has complete logs since new. See photos for OH entry and engine history summary. The overhaul was signed off by the owner who was a career aircraft mechanic that has worked as an A&P for over 50 years. He intended to use it on his Glastar with floats but has since sold the airframe. The fuel injection system and mags have not been overhauled but are serviceable. They will have to be overhauled to qualify as a “0”time engine if used on a certified airframe. This is a wide deck angle valve engine with dynafocal mounting. The engine comes as pictured with: -logs and repair station OH tags -McCauley prop governor (for single engine) -Fuel injector servo -Flow divider -Fuel injectors and lines -Mags with impulse coupling, gears, spacer and harness -Vacuum pump and drive -12 volt starter -Inner cylinder baffles -Oil quick drain -Spin on oil filter adapter. There is no engine driven fuel pump or ring gear assembly. The engine has been preserved and stored properly and no corrosion noted.
